do we need a thread to discuss these woeful bastards on 20170605?

Rickey and John are discussing the Cards well known track record to suck when facing unknown pitchers.

Is DeJong as good an infielder as they make him sound? Maybe we move that deck chair to SS when Wong comes back.

I enjoy Edmonds in the booth, think I'd prefer him in the dugout though.

And it falls to him -- again -- to get the second run. Of course, Fowler and Carpenter take them out of a bigger inning. This offense is absolutely feckless.

So what's the deal, you just breeze in here once every 3 months, score 100 points and move on?

&*^! Maloney. He & Marmol are BENCH coaches, & when it comes to being a base coach couldn't find their asses or peckers with both hands, a flashlight & a road map.

Frankly, every member of Matheny's staff is failing except Lilliquist. Fire every frickin one of them.

Truly...I have never witnessed such ineptitude on the basepaths. The combination of stupid ballplayers and incompetent coaches is breathtaking.

Cardinals deserve to lose this one.

But, the Reds may be worse.

I'll never give up on them but I did stop watching them. I still check the box score and listen on the radio but this is the most unwatchable Cardinal team since the early 90's.

Every other hitter Fowler is playing on the warning track. Hits your glove you have to catch it.

    This team is ****ing dogshit.

2 runs off Asher Wooganowski whoever the hell that is.

Yep...every game has the same script. Go up early, squander chances to add on, blow the lead late with the help of shitty defense.

The only team in MLB that can't blow up the Reds pitching staff. Incredible. Rock bottom is right around the corner.

I wonder if Yadi ever thinks that it's time to blow it up. Let him be a player/coach to a bunch of youngsters in his final years. He has to know he's not going to get another ring with this bunch.

Shitty base running, shitty managing and coaching. Not naming any names but somebody needs to go and he needs to take his coaching staff with him.

Or a 1 hitter. Or a 2 hitter. Or a 3 hitter. We have a bunch of bad 7 hitters.

Top 3 in the order don't get a sniff in the top of the 8th.

Newsflash...! I'm not so sure that one of the guys in the booth (JE) wouldn't have caught that ball in the bottom of the 7th. I truly believe we overpaid for Dex. Gawd.

    Just saw that Fowler play.

Y'know, Dex...you could try RUNNING after a ball. That's totally legal.

I really REALLY hate that guy. He's my new Tino.
