The Cubs and S Ross thread vs StL Sunday night version.

What could be worse than hearing from Dave all night while watching the Redbirds struggle?

Doggonit...! Sometimes you just HAVE TO knock a ball down & keep it in front of you. Learned this in little league.

    Jesus.

    Every. Damn. Day.

Every day its another stupid defensive letdown that leads to runs.

Matheny has murdered "the cardinal way " with his bare hands.

But at least the inevitable Wacha implosion made that a moot point.

Can we just trade Carp and put Piscotty at 1B.....

The defense of this team would make a little league coach pissed

Now a Cubs HR and the Cards are losing......

Only a total sucker (or Cubs fan) would bother tuning into tonight's game. Swept under the rug.

not counting tonight -- in his last 15 games he's hitting .140 w/a .433 OPS and 2 XBH yet he keeps getting ran out there most every day.

"Dex played that perfectly knowing it was gone or off the wall...."

[Replay shows Fowler inexplicably standing still right at the edge of the basket as the ball slams into the wall and rockets past him]

Through Ross being a goddamn idiot, he was able to perfectly demonstrate what a terrible defensive player Fowler actually is.

I hate this team so much...

As soon as Oquendo left, fundamentals went out the window. Piscotty's error was a mental breakdown. He was in a hurry to make a play that wasn't there. Just clean house in the dugout.

That was a hilarious statement I guess he thinks Fowler is still a Cub.

Piscotty's complete lack of spacial awareness now has him randomly sliding through infielders camped under routine pop-ups.

What the **** is wrong with that guy?

How come it always seems to take Matheny two players to PH one AB before the 8th inning?

I have not noticed a lot of carping from the players he will not call the inside strike on the leftys but other than that he is an average ump.

It's been an iffy zone. The edges are coming and going.

Oh good, we all get to hear about Heywards speech again. As though it was that and not a bunch of ****-shot fastballs that put a run on the board.

    Blow me, ESPN.

It's the little things like this that kill a team.

And the big things. Like no cleanup hitter for 3 years and a brain dead manager for 5.

Barnbird: "Gotta get Carp out of this lineup for one thing."

    John D: "Trade him"

    ******************************

Step one: Got to find a team who's willing to take him. Not sure I think that'll be easy to do. Of course... we could always give him away. (It's kinda what we did with Adams.)
