Neither is Diaz. Garcia needs to start for awhile. Can they send him down? He's killing us.

So he can misplay more balls? He's just not ready for this.

Get a couple runs, fritter away a dozen scoring chances, play stupid defense that leads to a couple runs, lose in the late innings.

    Rinse, repeat.

Probably a dozen times or more they've played this exact ballgame this year.
It's crazy how many times they're leading in the first and second innings and then just do nothing for the rest of the game.

It is ridiculous that Diaz is tied for most games played/started.

    1. Fowler, CF
    2. Carpenter, 1B
    3. Piscotty, RF
    4. Molina, C
    5. Peralta, 3B
    6. Diaz, SS
    7. DeJong, 2B
    8. Sierra, LF
    9. Lynn, RHP
Pham should have played somewhere today as it turned out.

At first base? The OFs have all the hits.

MM should put Carpenter back at leadoff. They absolutely need to get him going.

It's a game in early June, we all know those don't count.

Here's a fun game. Pick two cardinal starters and add up their OBP's or OPS's and then compare them to Harper or Trout. Then hang yourself for liking this team.

Next to last in majors in runs scored after the third inning. Per Zach Gifford, twitter

Will Leitch, Sports on Earth: "The Cardinals are a lousy fielding team, a lousy baserunning team and a lousy well, just a lousy fundamental team. I know that fundamentals aren't in vogue, but when you watch the Cards play every day, they are sloppy and lackadaisical and all together ugly. They lose games because of mental lapses . . . and dumb errors and odd managerial decisions. They find new ways, seemingly every night, to lose. There is talent here, particularly in that rotation. If the Cardinals could tighten up their sloppy play, they could still make a run in this division. But when's the last time you saw a team suddenly turn from this error-prone to fundamentally sound midseason? The Cards bear little resemblance to their solid, reliable teams of the past. And as talented as they are, they don't have enough talent to overcome their daily brainfarts. No team is at a more pivotal moment right now than the Cardinals. The Brewers and Reds are still building; the Pirates have a ton of young talent; the Cubs are still the Cubs. What are the Cards? What's the plan? What are they, exactly? That question is far from being answered, and until it is, this team looks like what it record says it is: Mediocre."

Not enough escape rooms in spring training. Need more bonding. Double down on escape rooms.

Complacent ownership has befallen the Redbirds once again perhaps the price of winning has Dewitt weary and ready to cash in ?

I'm willing to wager Luis Robert can play this game.

Seems like we can't win a game without the pitcher providing the offense too.

I honestly don't give a shit about this team at the moment, but I'd stop whatever I'm doing to watch them walk the plank. That day is surely coming.

I read this. I actually read this.

CBS Sports actually said the Cubs are struggling this year because they don't have David Ross. That was actually written on a website. Hahaha!

It's such a same Chicago came out and won that game 7. All the moments were there to make fun of them for another decade, especially with them starting the season under .500 after 2 months. Can you imagine that fanbase after losing game 7 late and then right back to mediocrity in 2017?

Can you imagine, they trade all those prospects to the Yankees for Chapman, he blows game 7 for them, then signs right back with the Yankees?
