Gyorko to paternity leave - baby daughter on the way.
Piscotty is flying back tonight.
Still probably need a fill in for at least tonight. Sierra a possibility.

Congrats to Jedd.
I'm sure they need another reliever, too bad Tui isn't eligible to come back yet![]()

Piscotty may not make it in time for game. Rumor is Sierra is indeed on the way. May make it during game.
Peralta starting at 3B tonight.

What difference does it make, they're playing a good team.

Incompetent management.
Not a good look for one of baseball's most storied franchises.

Look, we can either have a full complement of 25 players or we can avoid losing another young player from the system.
Because I'm not sure Mozeliak can do one without doing the other somehow. 10 years in and this whole waiver process still catches him flat-footed from time to time.
It's probably best to just play with 23 guys. Sonic's right - we're playing a quality opponent so it's not gonna matter anyway.

No move tonight. We will play two short.

Sierra was on the drive to STL before being told that the team reconsidered and he turned back.
What the **** kind of clown show organization are we running these days? That's pathetic.

And we're two guys short on a day that we're going to get 4 innings from our starter. Waino will be PH'ing tonight.

With a little luck, we might get to see a pitcher play in the field before the day is over.....

Piscotty's mom was diagnosed with ALS. He's back and in the lineup tonight.
Gyorko will play tonight and tomorrow (home games), take Friday and Saturday off for Paternity Leave, and be back with team on Sunday.
Tonight's lineup:
Fowler - 8
Marp - 3
Molina - 2
Gyorko - 5
Pham - 7
Piscotty - 9
DeJong - 4
Diaz - 6
Martinez - 1
Yes. you read that right. Marp in the 2 and the slowest man in sports, Yadier "Piano Mover" Molina, in the 3-hole.

Do you care? I mean really?
My interest in this season died with the Robert signing. I may perk up a bit around the trade deadline but I don't know why - they won't do anything of consequence.
Fantasy baseball is the only thing that has me interested in baseball still and frankly, I own zero shares of any Cardinals this year anyway so it's not like I even have a reason to tune into the Cardinals for selfish purposes.
I find myself watching far more AL/NL East and Astros games than Cardinals games at this point. I'll occasionally just veg out and watch a Cards game so I can bitch in the game thread with Sonic, but otherwise this team has absolutely no appeal whatsoever.
And no light at the end of the tunnel either.-

i care in the sense that the product on the field and the man running things in the dugout are ****ing embarrassing. i shouldn't have to apologize on their behalf.
do i watch? Neh. not much. I watch some before my boys go to bed, because i want to model baseball fan-dom for them, and expose them as much as possible to the game. And watching the crap on a stick in front of us is good opportunity for me to explain what should have happened and why. but, they're 7 and 6. they probably aren't remembering much except a general impression that daddy loves baseball. and...that's cool with me.
by the time i get them in bed and can get back to the game, broxton is serving meat pies. andsothen i turn it the hell off and iron the shit out of some dress shirts or something.
