As I understand it, they had previously quit in many other states. Delaware and Nebraska we're just the last two standing. No?

The problem is thta Obamacare is so expensive that too many sick people and not enough healthy people are signing up leading to the death spiral.

Try to tell people that insurance is pretty much strictly mathematics and they'll flip shit and start calling healthcare (i.e. other people's goods and services) their right.

The math simply does not check out on Obamacare. Never has, never will.

The hell of it is that the math doesn't check out on Trump's version either but now he'll have to wear the yoke.

The math could work easily. All you have to do is place cost controls for the most sought after career field in the country in the hands of the Federal Govt. The anesthesiologist making $90k a year is capped at $45k. People can't afford them to make $90k. General Practitioners have their schedule of fees handled by HHS. RN's? Hey, we can't afford for them to make so much. Cap their earnings at what your average secretary makes. What could possibly go wrong?

Like I said - it all depends on the determination that you have a fundamental right to the labors of others and a price they have nothing to do with setting.

    Novel theory.

I just checked the Bureau of Labor Stats and better revise my anesthesiologist projection by a bunch. Instead of $90k its more like $140K. Wow.

Premiums in the individual market more than doubled from 2013 to 2017.

    https://aspe.hhs.gov/system/files/pd...iumChanges.pdf

Meanwhile deductibles have increased and coverage networks shrank. Only a Leftist could see that as a success.

Reading some analysis of the CBO score of the GOP health plan. It is incredibly dishonest. The claim that 23 million people would lose coverage is a lie. The majority of those folks DO NOT HAVE COVERAGE. Relying on its previously flawed analysis of Obamacare:

CBO assumes that these people would eventually gain coverage through the magical powers of Obamacare's individual mandate (more on that in a moment), or through hypothetical future expansions of Medicaid by most of the states that haven't done so to date.
The CBO is working from it baseline projections which have dramatically overestimated coverage:Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum to view images.

Its analysis also assumes that states will use waivers to regulate insurance markets in ways they have never previously done and that they will adopt the worst possible choice for coverage.

Despite these obvious errors, the MSM and Dems (I repeat myself) dutifully repeat these obvious lies.

The MSM wonders why it is held in such contempt.

The real number is almost none, especially when you combine it with the facts that (1) most left won't "lose" coverage. They will no longer be forced to overpay for coverage they don't want and will choose not to purchase it; and (2) those few million who do lose coverage will be given tax credits with which to purchase plans which will cost less due to the elimination of numerous mandatory but unnecessary coverages.

When you eliminate the mythical future enrollment (9 million), individual mandate coverages (7 million) and future Medicaid expansions, which won't happen anyway, (3 million) you have 19 of the 23 million.

How can you deny the GOP subterfuge from day one?

The thing would have worked even better than it did if every state had expanded Medicaid, as originally intended.

Oh, but that would have given the illegitimate, Kenyan-born, socialist, Muslim president a victory. Can't have that.

    Fvck the people.

Obamacare was passed by a Dem Congress and signed into law by a Dem Pres. Perhaps they should have been concerned about what would happen when the other party gained power before passing it with zero GOP votes or input.

It's also pretty rich to talk about the truth of the matter when the only reason the law exists is Dem and MSM lies.

Medicaid expansion is already much higher than estimated, budgeted and intended.

You always complain about how ineffective the Republicans are in opposing anything the Democrats are doing. I don't know why you aren't celebrating this. It was their stated objective from day one and has been successful. For once, they weren't cucks.

So what was lacking in the big government takeover of health insurance was the genius of the Republican Party to do so? I used to think that the Republicans were at least smarter than the Democrats on healthcare. As bad as the Democrats are, it is clear that the Republicans are actually dumber.
