And that's with a runner at 2nd. Fitting, if you ask me.

I thought the ovation the fans gave Moreno for having the most money was rather touching

Man, a small part of me hopes he is just horrible for the rest of his career. I know it's extremely unlikely, but I just want his ultra-human ability to be Cardinal related. Sort of like how people leave the Cubs and become good...but the opposite.

Media spin is a b****. I wonder just how much we were lead astray as fans of our precious #5.

"Prior to Friday's game, though, Pujols was locked in, refusing all interview requests in preparation for his first game with his new team.

But in his first plate appearance, with Howie Kendrick on second base after a one-out double to center field, Pujols hit a soft liner to shortstop Alcides Escobar, who then threw to second for the inning-ending double play."

Locked in? Refusing interview requests? Spin. Might as well have said 'Albert was his usual, unapproachable self. Refusing to mingle with the common folk, he chose to pretend all of his focus was on the game. And then, with all that focus, the best he could do was ground out into a double play.'

What is Torii Hunter doing protecting Pujols? That's not very scary if you ask me.

Aaron Crow just struck out Albert on three pitches, and they were nasty.

Pujols is going to get his share of hits. Are you guys going to do play-by-play on those too?

Oh, by the way, Angels won.

I'm not terribly impressed with the Angels lineup.

I think Texas is better top to bottom. However their pitching rotation is likely better.

Good Morning Harry, I sure hope not. I am already tired of reading about JIGJAM. I hope this will just fade away, much like he did.

Did you hear the Cards have won the first 2 games without him and of course the dynamic duo also?

When I saw that lineup and watched them, I don't see how they even compete with the Rangers for the division.

He could return to the 38 dinger - 130RBI - 340 version of Albert and it won't make any difference.

Of course, I hadn't really paid any attention to the Angels until he got there.

I got a really good look at the Rangers in October.

    It's not close.

However, I do think the Angels have the edge in the dugout.

But, that won't make up the 10-15 games that Texas is better than them.

For somebody who claimed to value the area and all that jazz, he's in a hurry to sever as many ties as possible as quickly as possible. Maybe he recognizes that he won't exactly be welcome back any time soon...

Good thing for the Angels that he's only got 455 more doubles left before he catches up with his numbers as a Cardinal.

    Enjoy your investment.

El Hombre qouted in th LA Times this morning regarding his hefty 217 batting average. "Not to be cocky, but I knowI can hit.I've shown that for 11 years, and it's not going away like that (snapping fingers) . I'm thinking too much ."

Either that or he is already 37 or was juicing. Perhaps it was all an act. I certainly am through defending him.

    Ditto.

I don't wish anything bad on the guy until it's time for us to beat his @ss in the WS. I wouldn't bet against us getting there again before he does.

I had hoped he would end up with the Miami Marlins, but he looks right at home in Anaheim. The fans are even turning on him already since he's drawing such an enormous paycheck and not producing.

No, just looking for another withdrawal that a Anaheim loss brings, deposited directly into the account of the other AL West teams.

Punched out looking with the standard Albert arm raise; proceeded to jaw at the ump as he walked back to the dugout.

    Yankees lead 5-0.

I don't intend to care about this forever, but by God I'm getting these kicks in while the kickin' is good...

Angels lose 5-0; Kuroda almost went the distance. Angels are now 2-5 with single wins against the Royals and Twins.
