Ah, good choice. Definitely a band ahead of their time, or rather beyond their time.

For me its hard to get into Roussos' voice. I usually prefer Vangelis' work with Jon Anderson, but Jon's voice is a bit hard to get into as well.

Thanks, SOS. That is a classic - makes me feel 25 again (this song debuted @ the same time I closed on my first house, & I painted walls & prepped rooms dancing to that song)!

Lisa Stansfield's 'All Around the World' was popular @ the same time:

Good call, SOS. As I said, still love the '80s & '90s... "Dead Man's Party" showed up in 'Back To School' with Rodney Dangerfield. The 'Caddyshack' & 'Top Gun' soundtracks are also classics.

My other passion is the boy bands (Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Westlife, 98 Degrees, Boys II Men, etc) ... & while I think they are great (I am a former madrigal singer of many years in my youth, so I LOVE harmony & appreciate great acapella), I will spare my friends here THOSE clips. LOL

Cardinal Red, I did a bit of singing myself ( in another life ).

I'll track down some good harmony, but I couldn't resist this track.

Their tight harmony arrangement of "Seven Bridges Road" is ripped off from Iain Matthews; song is by Steve Young (who is not a QB).

"Dead and Gone" by Gypsy. I wish I could find that to download it.

We got Guitar Hero Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero Aerosmith for Christmas, and I am totally hooked, so I've been playing and enjoying a lot of those songs lately. My little, so sweet looking 8-year-old daughter loves to rock out to "School's Out" by Alice Cooper. She jumps and gets on her knees and sings along. It's pretty hilarious. I have rediscovered AFI and remembered how much I like the Dead Kennedys from playing.

I also got The Killers new CD for Christmas and I like it a lot (of course). The early contender for favorite song is:

    Dustland Fairytale

but with the other Killers CDs and EP, I liked one song initally and eventually decided on a new favorite after further listening.

Even if you are not a fan of Christian music, these are three very progressive bands/artists you'd love if you listen to a lot of modern pop and rock/alternative music. They are awesome. Hard to exactly define their style.

By the way, Casting Crowns is the top band in CCM. MercyMe is the originator of "I Can Only Imagine" and Jeremy Camp is one of the top two soloists.

    MercyMe -- "So Long Self"

If you like the early days of GreenDay's sound, you'll really like the last one.
