[QUOTE=spiritofstlouis;707226]Hey Mac Card, twist one and mellow. You'll thank me.]

spirit, can you speak English? I haven't done the twist for 35 years and it was out-dated then.
BTW, not impressed with you being from the "city". I am a hillbilly plain and simple. You may be from the school of hard Knocks but when you get ready for a real education, call on a hillbilly. Can you say, "Oink, oink!" Aren't you old enough to watch Deliverance? Put me down for dueling banjo's I guess.

After 3 years you should know me well enough to know I am yanking the Yank's crank. I think I did the same with you as a newbie. The only music I ever listen to is country Gospel and even then I don't care if there is no musical instruments besides a good set of vocal chords. I seen the title to the thread. I had an option to ignore it but it wouldn't be as much fun. I did get a kick out of it when he thought being fron NY earned him some type of special respect. It just earns him pity from this hillbilly.

Hutch, thanks for the laugh. I wasn't going to hit the link until ilcardsfan said it was inappropriate but wished he had thought of it. Of course I had to look and got RickRoll'd for the first time. That is hilarious! I also saw the directions on how to get someone.

the best of the 60's all rolled up into one performance in monterrey , at the pop festival in 1967

jimi hendrix , double dosed on owlsley acid ( admittedly from the documantary where this video originates) , doing a bob dylan classic

Actually this is a baseball forum and you will also see we have other forums. As long as the stuff stays in this thread and does not start littering the baseball forum with tons of this, that, and the other, kind of things it won't be a big deal. We try to keep things baseball oriented first here on the baseball forum. That is what Mel was talking about. Welcome to the forum. Many of us do enjoy music, as well as other things like politics and such (which there is another forum for for that reason). So, that being said, just making sure you understand the purpose of the forum. Its not quite the "democracy" you think it to be since some have fronted the money to keep the place alive and it is one of the best (If not the best) Cardinals forum out there. We hope to keep it that way.

    Carry on.

    GoCards!

If the response has been any indication, there are individuals out there who not only enjoy music, but take comfort in sharing their personal taste with others who feel likewise.

Forums, no matter what the topic, are a medium of entertainment. The participants, as in any true democratic process, own the right to respond in kind.

If you object to the contents of this thread, feel free to ignore it. Contact anyone you see fit to have it removed from furthur exposure, or petition those in charge to have me sanctioned or banished for subjecting you to something you find offensive.

The fact that you chose to take objection to something as innocent as encouraging others to submit personal musical selections, leads me to believe that you are an individual with an axe to grind.

P.S. I am a New Yorker. You don't want any part of me.
